On behalf of one of our customers who have owned this beautiful 1949 Panther 250cc for over 45 years, we had this motorcycle in for maintenance and repair.
We have had to address the following:
Engine:
- Change oil.
Gearbox:
- Change oil.
- Lubricate grease points with grease.
frame:
- Revision front fork (Dowty oleomatic lightweight).
electrical:
- Check electricity.
- Install new battery.
Fuel supply:
- Install new fuel taps.
- Derust the fuel tank.
- Carburettor ultrasonic cleaning.
- Replace carburetor parts.
Oil supply:
- Check for leaks.
Service:
- Making throttle cable.
- Lubricate clutch and air cable and adjust play.
Wheels / brakes:
- Check and adjust brakes.
- Set tires to correct tire pressure.
- Check that the wheels are in line with each other.
Miscellaneous:
- Create checklist.
